The Sustainable Development Goals: Continuing Challenges and New Initiatives

As an interdisciplinary organization, the Global Awareness Society International (GASI) is about sharing ideas to make the world a better place.  The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) framed by the United Nations General Assembly impact the whole world. Recent events worldwide bring the SDGs to the forefront for scholars and practitioners to assess ways of ensuring social cohesion, economic prosperity, protection of the environment, health, and well-being.  Every discipline can contribute to solutions that move us toward the Sustainable Development Goals, and scholars in every field are encouraged to join our conversation. This year’s theme is The Sustainable Development Goals: Continuing Challenges and New Initiatives.

We invite authors to submit abstracts for Paper Sessions that align with at least one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals listed below:

(1) No Poverty, (2) Zero Hunger, (3) Good Health and Well-being, (4) Quality Education, (5) Gender Equality, (6) Clean Water and Sanitation, (7) Affordable and Clean Energy, (8) Decent Work and Economic Growth, (9) Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, (10) Reduced Inequality, (11) Sustainable Cities and Communities, (12) Responsible Consumption and Production, (13) Climate Action, (14) Life Below Water, (15) Life on Land, (16) Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, and (17) Partnerships to achieve the Goals

Sessions will be organized into 90-minute periods with 5-6 presentations, so each presenter will have approximately 15 minutes to present.  All conference sessions will be held at the Embassy Suites Las Vegas, 4315 University Center Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
